Sam Meredith
Sam has a nice, rich sound and his breaths are really silent. I think the downfall in his breath comes at the end of each phrase when he let's his rib cage and shoulders collapse. It looks and sounds like he is squeezing the air out which sometimes pulls pitch down as well. Diction was really good but could always use more. I would like to see more of his eyes. I felt like he was looking down for a good part of the piece and there is a slight rocking from side to side that is distracting. Overall a really great performance. He could energize the breaths and maybe consider taking more breaths as long as they are silent and tactful. I think it would be better to take more breaths and keep the rib cage expanded rather than to let it collapse so that you aren't prepared for the next phrase.
Sara Lowe
She has a really nice timbre which is full and rich but could be even fuller and richer if she didn't breath so high in her chest. There is a lot of bucket breathing going on which makes her high notes especially tight and held. She had a really pleasant look on her face but moved her head a lot and looked at the floor for a great deal of the time. It also needed some more diction. For the most part I felt like she was pushing the air out which also contributed to her tightness. She has a really nice timbre though and that is a tough song.
Laura Berg
This was a really nice performance. Your timbre is spinning and beautiful on the high notes but I feel it is under energized in the lower register and at the end of your phrases. Your breaths were overall really silent and looked like they were well placed however at the end of every phrase your shoulders and rib cage collapsed making it hard for you to prepare for the next phrase. Your face was pleasantly expressive but your arms remained glued tight to your sides and your shoulders looked really tight. When your dynamic level changed to piano I could tell what you were going to do because the tension in your body said it first. Intonation was in general really great unless the breath was under energized at the end of a phrase. You're doing great! Beautiful voice!
