Amber DC Chapter 8

Amber DC Chapter 8
The talent whisperers ie; standout amazing coaches all share some basic similarities. There are no long winded speeches or pep talks. They are unassuming, to the point, able to read people quickly and give targeted information on small enough chunks to be absorbed and assimilated by the person they are working with at the time.
Key concepts: More information is retained when given on short bursts. Sometimes listening (to a student) is more important that talking to them.
Key terms: Explanation Demonstration, imitation correction repetition, Short bursts. listening, targeted information.
Connections: A teacher/coach must resist the urge to lecture on and on. the student will get the short explanation.
