-Vocalize (I am still trying to work on letting where her voice is that day dictate the direction in which I take the vocalizes. I will probably need to do a lot with primal sounds, voiced consonants and speaking to help her)
-Work on piece
Goals:
Short-
1. Find a way to help Dacy express musicianship in her singing. I want to see more shaping of the phrases and expression in the music. I may do some more movement to help her feel the shape of the piece. Maybe even some dance. I will have her speak the poetry before singing to really feel the meaning of it. We need to find some connections to the song to make it less cheesy for her.
2. Working on expanding her range. I want to help Dacy build her range. She is terrified of high notes so I want to use what Cindy did with Jazzy on Friday as a model to help her: first have her make sounds without thinking pitch and then connect the sound she makes to that pitch. I think she will surprise herself at how high she can really go.
Long-
1. Help Dacy know the difference between her "hypofunctional" voice and her normal voice.
