Emily C., Ashli H., Lesson Plan for 2/18/14
Plans:
- I’m definitely going to work a lot with reminding her to release her tongue and jaw with the “cat” sticking tongue out exercise and with keeping her hands next to her face.
- I want to explore her child-like voice a little more with the swoopy speech to help her become more familiar with her head voice.
- I want to work a little more on bridging her chest and head voice, probably through better breath flow.
- I want to address the laying down on the floor thing one more time, and I want to try out the breathing/squatting thing but in different positions. I think she has yet to really “get it.”
- I liked the “who are you,” so we’ll be doing that again.
- More primal sound exercises.
Goals:
Short:
- I want to get her breath more involved to help with her chest/head bridging.
- I want her to become more sensitive to the shape of the music; it’ll help with the above problem as well.
Long:
- I would like to get her to release in her jaw and tongue.
