Lesson Summary- Amber

Just met Professor Hart for the first time really. We discussed her requirements for her students. I think this was a match meant to be because I already have been doing some of the stuff already, and I am excited about the new stuff she added on.
1) drink LOTS of water! (I showed her mt water bottle and she was most happy)
2) Do an alignment exercise flat on the back with knees bent to help lower spine sink into the floor for 20 minutes to help eliminate sway backed habit.
3) add some sort of core exercise like Pilates (not crunches).
4) Hula hoop! YES! I have already been doing this all summer as part of my new workout routine. (Lost an inch off my waist already).
 5) Increase aerobic activity, may do yoga for emotional release.
6) do vocalises for 20 -30 minutes before you even touch a song (part of my routine already).
New vocalises: 1) downward scale (54321), don't sing the top note, but ease into the rest and topple on down. 2) Take a breath in with an imploded "k" than vocalize a descending scale (54321).
What I did this week: 1) did the stuff!
2) Prepared Widmung (been waiting a couple years until everybody and their dog wasn't doing it).
3) I was so excited about the hula hooping thing that I traded in my cheap little number I had been using all summer for a weighted sport model (Walmart south has them in their fitness section on clearance... sectional breakdown/snap together in a small-ish box). Totally worth it! I would highly, HIGHLY recommend it...so much easier to keep up for a novice like me and the workout is ten times more intense. YES!!!!!!!!
