2. Breathing: Sometimes buckets, but when she spoke the text like an actor in a play it was much more grounded and graceful.
3. Intonation: good.
4. Timbre: full, rich, powerful, at times fuzzy.
5. Diction: She presented herself well, I understood most of the message, but I lost quite a few of the words. 6. Expressiveness: She didn't seem entirely sincere the first time through, after taking Cindy's direction, her phrasing took a different tone, and there was an expressive story that we could hear in her voice.
7. Masterclass: Diction was clearer when she was more authentic to the phrasing, and when she had intention. It seemed much more connected in body and in expression.
8. Overall Performance: I enjoyed her performance after instruction from Cindy. I felt and heard the lifelike expression in her voice, because she brought her experiences and thoughts into the message.

2. Breathing: breathes could have been quieter at times, phrasing was alright, I think they could have used more connection and intent.
3. Intonation: good, but the phrase he repeated and worked on extensively needed to be higher.
4. Timbre: Bright, confident.
5. Diction: The Italian sounded good and bright in the correct placement.
6. Expressiveness: not a significant connection to the text, but I think that is because Cindy was focusing more on technique.
7. Masterclass: He achieved the height in that phrase a few times, but I think he needs to practice it with not vocalizing, but imagining the pitch, rising of the soft palate, and release in his breath.
8. Overall performance: It was beautiful when he got it, but I would like to see more of a connection to the story telling and character. Which will probably come when he is feeling more confident with technique.

2. Breathing: her breathes weren't terrible, but sometimes noisy, like she was gasping for buckets in some instances.
3. Intonation: good.
4. Timbre: bright, fluttering glassy.
5. Diction: good, I understood her words, but not sure if I made a connection between text and the message.
6. Expressiveness: it wasn't remarkably expressive, but she looked focused on the task.
7. Masterclass: She was able to find that placement and depth a few times, and when she did it created a more expressive and fluid line in the music.
8. Overall performance: She did a good job, although I think she was more focused on technique, because I didn't feel an overwhelming need from her to get the message across (which is usually her strong point). But I'm excited to hear it again when she feels more comfortable with those phrases with the high placement, without compromising the alignment of her head, etc...
