So because of Labor Day, I had to have my lesson on the Friday :/ Anyway, I thought my lesson was a wonderful eye opener for what is to come for the upcoming school year. I realized my constant need to force sound, instead of making sound happen. Some points in the lesson I just could not get what Dr. D was trying to get me to accomplish, but being her great, patient self she tried different methods until we achieved the desired sound, and ease we were both looking for. After using different strategies we realized that loosening my neck and and her tapping me for every note I sang made me feel and focus on the sound that came out, and not on the work before the sound came out.
And to add to my good news of my lesson, I was told that it sounds like my vocal chords are always swollen. And that I may have something called"silent reflux". I dont know what that means, but I may need to get that checked out so I dont continue to have swollen chords. LOL. Swollen chords! Why can't I just be well guys? It's always something! But its okay! I have to be happy with my journey so that I know how to enjoy my triumph!
See Dr. D! I do listen in Vocal Ped!
Thanks for reading guys!
