Jared Daley Chapter 5 summary TC

Jared Daley chapter 5 lesson summary

We are all inspired by different things, but the point is we need to be inspired in order to achieve something. This is called ignition. It's a spark that gets us in the mind set that we want to accomplish something and it fuels the drive to accomplish it. We need something to start that spark. When they are powered by strong emotions our deep practice habits seem more natural or come somewhat easier. The desire for safety and the desire for belonging are two of the strongest emotional ignitions. These emotional ignitions help us to see practice in a different light it's something that helps us achieve. It helps us stay committed to a long term goal.
Concept: those with that sense of drive had an emotional ignition or primal cue to fuel their drive.
Key terms: primal cue, ignition
Connection: I related this not to music but my fitness goals. I had an emotional ignition to start getting in better shape. I've tried several times throughout my life, but this time was different because of emotional ignition I had.
