Jake Spjute- flower song from Carmen love his voice and love how free his high notes are getting i notice sometimes when he reaches for his high notes his shoulders lift a little. From watching him a little more I think it comes from letting his ribs collapse just a little and therefore he needs to compensate. I don't notice his breathing a lot which according to Cindy as well as Oren Brown is a good sign. Overall his performance was really good and I liked it. Singing is all mental, you have to sing with a very high level of conviction. She had him do a warm up that i am going to go try. Holding your mouth closed until the last possible moment.
Taylee Beckstead-
Taylee has a beautiful sound and is really fun to watch. I feel like her jaw gets in the way of some her high notes. Some are free and beautiful and others need just a bit more freedom. We get distracted by weirdness in the body- cindy. My question is how does one get rid of that? Do something that engages our body and releases our emotions and intention.
