Shalayna TC 4

Chapter Summary:We often wondering who people who are similar to us or come from the same place suddenly have an outburst of talent and ability to master a certain skill. This happnes because patterns are slowed down and chucking occurs. It is important to take one big thing we are trying to master and break it up into chunks. Instead of trying to learn something all at once, we need to break it up into patterns and slowly work our way to the ending result. practicing my not always take hour and hour but the frequency of practice is imperative to forming ones sweet spot. During practice feelings will surface that trigger failure and success but the want and try to fix and keep going matter the most.
Key Concept: Slowing down your practice and breaking the whole into patterns (chunking) is imperative to reaching the entire goal.
Key Terms: HSE, chunking
Connections: I found it helpful in my lesson once to use imagery as a way to memorize my song. But in order to do that I had to have patience with myself. Cindy and I broke down the song and used chunking to understand the setting that the words created. Once I saw the song broken up, it was easy to understand the composers thoughts and emotions.
