Sarah Gee TC 3

We are able to see how the Bronte sisters, the Z-boys and renaissance artists developed their talent through hours and hours of meaningful practice. It is estimated that you need 10,000 hours of practice to be proficient in your specified profession. Child prodigies are merely people that have started imitating and practicing, based on the model behaviors they have seen, from an early age. Therefore they have more myelin and are capable at a young age. Humans naturally have more myelin then animals do. Myelin after a certain age can start to break down.
Key Concepts:
Your talent is not based upon your environment unless you yourself decide it is.
Practicing just beyond our capacity is the most beneficial to our personal growth and us.
Key terms:
·           Insulated
·           Proclivities
·          Stimuli
·          Nucleotides
Connections:

I can practice more effectively and then I may find that I can rise above my physical environment. I can be actively learning all the time.
