Shalayna Guisao:
B: Bucket. caught in chest
I:
T: fuzzy static like (maybe from tension?)
D: had a hard time understanding each word. I only knew what she was saying because I've sung this song before. Most of the words that were lost were in the higher half of resister.
E: very set. didn't see it change as needed.
O: seemed distant from piece, was caught off guard.
Were critiques helpful: Everything that I was uneasy about improved. I was able to connect to her. What she was saying meant something to both us.
Jake Spjute:
B: a little bit of both bucket and balloon. but started on a bucket, and that set the tone.
I: reaching for all of the higher notes
T: breathing affected sound. squeezed and edgy on bucket. Warm with balloon. Swallowed sound at times.
D: VERY crisp
E: he know what he's saying but he let his frustrations take him out of character.
O: once he got off, it really shook up the whole thing. when he turned sideways to face Cindy at the piano, there was a ton of neck tension. I could see his neck trying to hit the pitch instead of opening into it.
H: I don't know if the pencil thing helped, if by helped you mean it immediately resolved the focused on issue. I feel like it improved but it didn't fix it.
Elizabeth Tait:
B: bucket. heard a lot of air being released on words.
I: Good! Especially for a song that sounds a tonal (not completely a tonal obviously)
T: constricted, but just on the verge of full and resonant.
D: lost some words, but most were ok.
E: was going in and out. sometime I could tell she was picturing it, others no.
O: I could tell she was trying to critique herself while she was performing. That might have been why she was going in and out. I can tell she's very good at identifying things in her body.
H: understood words much better sounded much pingier.
