SUMMARY:Why did so many brilliant minds come out of Florence Italy during the Renaissance? researchers and historians have been studying this for many years. Florence really wasn't so different than most of the rest of the world, they had the same living conditions, social systems, jobs, etc. They learned that it was through apprenticeship that these so called "geniuses"were produced so abundantly. Children from the age of 7 would have a craft or profession chosen for them by their parents, and they would then go live with a master of said craft or profession for many years. They would learn by doing, making mistakes and fixing problems over and over again until they themselves became masters of their trade. From teenage authors to skaters from the 70's, doing and failing thousands of times is what makes someone exceptional amongst the ordinary. Da Vinci thought that if people understood the amount of work and time that went into his masterpieces, wether his painting, sculpting, or scientific findings, the public wouldn't think that he was anything special at all.
KEY CONCEPTS: Myeline doesn't care about where you live or your circumstances, it cares about what you DO.
KEY TERMS: nature vs nurture, Apprenticeships, Myeline beings
MAKING CONNECTIONS: The more I read about Myelin and the people who have tons of it and know how to develop it, the more I realize that it takes a gigantic amount if time and work to be able to produce it around the right circuits that you want. It will take years of practice for me to be anywhere close to where I want to be singing-wise.
